Artists in Residence

Lara Lewison

Lara Lewison is a violinist, painter, and creative coder living in Brooklyn. She graduated with a B.A. in Music from Columbia University, where she was the 2020 class recipient of the Louis Sudler Prize in the Arts, awarded based on her combined portfolio of music, painting, and technical art. She is a member of Symphony in C and has participated in orchestral festivals such as Tanglewood Music Center and Lucerne Festival Academy. Lara often performs as a solo Bollywood electric violinist at South Asian events across the country. Currently, sheis working on sound and music for an independent video game

Katy Pinke

Katy Pinke is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York. Her work spans painting, sculpture, animation, installation, puppetry, and video, as well as parallel practices as a singer-songwriter and theatremaker. Exhibitions include Kate Oh Gallery, Heroes Gallery, Pablo’s Birthday Gallery, and ABC No Rio; original performance work includes Center for Performance Research (Brooklyn); Tate Xchange at Tate Modern (London); Tsinghua University (Beijing); Dixon Place, NY; and Summerhall at Edinburgh Fringe. She has acted in performance pieces at the Royal Academy of Arts; ARCO Madrid; Frieze London; The Ryder Gallery;The Segal Center (Prelude Festival) and in films screened at Moscow MOMA, Frieze London, and Anthology Film Archives. Pinke hosts a nomadic community art event called ‘Foolishly Use the Force and Ride the Chariot.’ BA Princeton University, MFA Rose Bruford College (London).

Clara Curbera

Clara Curbera is an artist based in Ridgewood, Queens, NY. She received her bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Wesleyan University in 2020. Her solo show Apple of Your Eye debuted at BAU Gallery in Beacon, NY in 2023, and was featured in the Columbia Journal. Clara has shown her work in group exhibitions, including Matter Matters at Bas Stone (2025), Fresh Faces at Abigail Ogilvy Gallery (2020), and in artist-run spaces in Brooklyn. In May 2025, she became the first visual artist-in-residence to attend Avaloch Farm Music Institute, in collaboration with Glass Clouds Ensemble. She will begin her MFA in painting at School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the fall.
